A mixer grinder is an essential appliance in an Indian kitchen. But often, you may want something more, like a food processor or a juicer in addition to the mixer grinder to make it a complete package. To cater to such needs, manufacturers have introduced a variety of juicer mixer grinders in the market.
Essentially, they all work on the same principle. A mesh filter with an extraction blade is attached to the motor coupler and the juicing chamber is fixed on top of it. The fruits are pushed inside through a feeding chute and due to the centrifugal force of the rotating extraction blade, the pulp after extraction gets thrown out into the pulp container and juice drips down and gets collected in an external container through the spout.
Though the principle mechanism is the same, each model has a different design and power, which results in a different output. So, we chose 6 of the best-selling juicer mixer grinders and put them through vigorous testing to help you find the best. Here is what we found.
Our Top Recommendations
Our top recommendation is the Sujata Powermatic Juicer Mixer Grinder. Not only does it have a powerful juicer, but also has excellent grinding capacity owing to the superior design of the jars and high motor wattage. You can juice large quantities of fruits and vegetables in Sujata Powermatic. A drawback however is that sometimes it tends to leak when juicing fruits with high water content like watermelon and pomegranate.
If you are looking for a juicer and not really a mixer grinder, Havells Stilus Juicer Mixer Grinder is an excellent choice. Its juicing efficiency and yield is as good as Sujata Powermatic. But, its grinding efficiency is average as it has just a 500-watt motor.
Now, if you are looking for a juicer mixer grinder and a food processor too, then Preethi Zodiac Mixer Grinder With 3-in-1 Insta Juicer would be an apt choice. Though its juicer is average, its mixer grinder and food processor are excellent.
We shall delve into each product in detail. But first, a sneak peek into our process.
How We Tested?
A juicer mixer grinder, as the name suggests, has two components- a juicer and a mixer grinder. So, we made it a point to test the functionality of both. However, we did give more weightage to the juicer. With each juicer mixer grinder, we made four juices- apple, pomegranate, carrot, and beetroot. We compared the juice and analyzed the moisture content and uncrushed pieces in the pulp to understand the juicing efficiency. More than the juice, the pulp gave a major insight into how well the juicer did its job.
We also looked at aspects like ease of assembly, user-friendliness of the design and ease of cleaning. Further, we looked at the built quality to understand how durable the product is.
To understand the grinding efficiency, we made milkshakes, batter, curry paste, chutney and performed other lighter grinding chores.
Something we found lacking in all juicer mixer grinders is a safety mechanism that ensures proper locking of the extraction blade. Currently, they work even if the extraction blade is not locked correctly. In such cases, the blade may grind the feeding chute or the fruit pusher.
The detailed review of each product is given as a separate article and we have linked to it below. Here, we shall provide a brief overview to help you make an informed buying decision.

How To Choose A Juicer Mixer Grinder?
When choosing a juicer mixer grinder, you have to consider many key aspects like juice yield, design, ease of use and cleaning, grinding performance and so on. Let us explore them in detail.
Design
The design of a juicer mixer grinder has a key role in its juice yield, ease of use and cleaning. Ideally, the juicer should have a wide extraction blade with a mesh filter. Also, the gap between the mesh filter and the top cover of the juicing chamber should be minimal. This is important because even if fruit pieces bounce off the mesh filter, they will hit the cover of the juicing chamber and fall back on the extraction blade itself. If the gap is too much and the extraction blade is narrow, fruit pieces will bounce off and fall into the pulp collection chamber instead. Despite the low power, Havells Stilus has a juicing output equivalent to Sujata Powermatic because it has a wide extraction blade and less gap between the blade and top cover.
Juicing Yield
Obviously, the higher the juice yield, the better it is. As mentioned earlier, this depends heavily on the design of the juicer mixer grinder. Motor power is the next important factor that affects juicing yield. Sujata Powermatic has an edge over other options due to this. Further, the high-power motor also ensures better grinding performance for regular chores like making batter, chutney, masala etc.
Ease of Use
Most juicer mixer grinders available in the market come in a standard design. They have an extraction blade that is attached to the coupler; juicing chamber with the feeding chute is attached on top. Most options like Sujata Powermatic, Philips Amaze and Havells Vitonica have a separate pulp container that can be detached without removing the juicing chamber. This is helpful when you want to juice large quantity of ingredients at a go.
Ease of Cleaning
The extraction blade of juicer mixer grinders can be cleaned using a toothbrush. Ideally, opt for models with a plain design that doesn’t have a lot of grooves as it would be easier to clean. Options like Sujata Powermatic have a deep pulp container and a lot of grooves and curves in the juicing chamber which makes it difficult to clean. But ones like Havells Stilus, Philips Amaze and Vitonica are better.
Ensure that you clean the juicer attachment immediately after juicing. Else the pigments from the fruits will permanently discolour the chamber. Juice residues will also form a thin brownish layer on it, which can be difficult to get rid of.
Grinding Performance
A juicer mixer grinder, as the name suggests comprises a juicer and a mixer grinder. Most options come with 2 or 3 jars for grinding wet and dry ingredients. If you plan to use the mixer grinder extensively for making batter, chutney, masala, ginger garlic paste and so on, opt for one with at least a 750-watt motor. Options like Preethi Zodiac and Sujata Powermatic are better in that aspect. If you won’t be using the jars for heavy-duty grinding, an option with a 500-watt motor will suffice.
Now, if you do not want to grind ingredients, most of the below mentioned options are available as just juicer too.
Best Juicer Mixer Grinders In India
Sujata Powermatic Juicer Mixer Grinder
Pros |
---|
Excellent juicing and grinding efficiency |
Good built quality |
One of the best options for carrots, beets and apples. |
Cons |
---|
The juicing chamber is difficult to clean. |
Juice sometimes leaks from the top cover when juicing fruits/vegetables with high water content like pomegranates and watermelon. |
Powered by a 900-watt motor, Sujata Powermatic is the most powerful juicer mixer grinder on the list. But, it isn’t just the power, it is the functional design too that helps it extract juice with high efficiency.
Sujata Powermatic and Havells Stilus have equally good juicers. But when it comes to the grinding efficiency of the mixer grinder, Sujata is far better. This is the main reason why we have rated Sujata higher than Stilus. If you are looking for just a juicer, then we would highly recommend you opt for Havells Stilus.
Both the juicers have the widest extraction blade and mesh filters among the options we tried and this enhances their juice extraction efficiency. Upon making apple juice, comparatively, we were able to extract a bit more juice with Sujata Powermatic. We could see that the flesh was completely crushed off the peels and the pulp had lesser moisture content compared to other options. Similarly, with carrot and beetroot juice too, the results were quite superior. It comparatively made lesser froth too.
Only when it came to pomegranate juice did Sujata come second to Havells Stilus. In Sujata, the distance between the blade and the top cover is a bit more compared to Havells Stilus. So, the seeds bounce off easily and get deposited in the pulp container, whereas in Stilus, the seeds bounce and land back on the extraction blade itself.
When it comes to cleaning, Sujata was not quite the easiest. It wasn’t easy to reach every nook of the juicing chamber and the pulp container was quite deep. So reaching the bottom was a bit difficult. An advantage of this design is that you can juice a large quantity of fruits without having to empty the pulp container in between. Also, they are the only brand that provided a toothbrush which is the best tool to clean the mesh filter.
Another drawback is that if you don’t fix the top cover carefully, juice may leak from the edges of the cover. This happens especially when juicing fruits with high water content like pomegranate and watermelon. Also, the juicer is quite noisy making around 94-98dB noise.
When it comes to the grinding efficiency of regular jars, Sujata is second to none. The 900-watt motor and well-designed jars ensure fine grinding consistency, be it hard spices like garam masala or turmeric or liquids like milkshakes or idli batter.
The jars come with a stainless steel body. But the lid of the two larger jars is made of plastic with an opening to add ingredients while grinding. Sometimes, the liquid tends to spill from the top cover. You don’t observe this in Sujata Dynamix as the lids are made of polycarbonate. We also rate Dynamix as one of the best mixer grinders in India.
Overall, if you are looking for a powerful mixer grinder and a heavy-duty juicer, Sujata Powermatic is the best option for you. For the same reason, it is a preferred choice in hotels, restaurants, and juice bars too, and our top choice as the best juicer mixer grinder in the market. It is also the top seller on most e-commerce sites.
Sujata Powermatic is sold in 3 variants. You can get just the juicer or the juicer with 2 jars- a 1 litre multipurpose and a 1.75-litre liquidizing jar OR the juicer with 3 jars- in addition to the two former jars, you also get a 400 ml chutney jar too.

Havells Stilus Juicer Mixer Grinder
Pros |
---|
One of the best options for juicing pomegranates. |
Excellent juicing efficiency |
Moderate pricing |
Excellent built quality |
Cons |
---|
The design is a bit bulky |
It does not have a separate pulp container |
Wet and dry grinding efficiency of the regular jars is just average. |
Havells Stilus with a 500-watt motor is comparatively a bit bulkier than other juicer mixer grinders on the list. But it is elegant and has pretty good built quality. Also, as it has vacuum suction feet, it doesn’t move when juicing or grinding.
As mentioned earlier, it has the largest extraction blade and mesh filter among the options we tested. Also, the top cover is close to the extraction blade. So even if the fruit pieces bounce off, it lands back on the extraction blade itself.
The juicing efficiency of Havells Stilus is top-notch. You can juice a variety of fruits and vegetables with ease. We made juices of apple, pomegranate, carrot and beetroot and were quite impressed with the juicing efficiency. In fact, it can be considered the best juicer mixer grinder for pomegranates.
Even when juicing vegetables like beetroot and carrot, the results were quite impressive. We got very few uncrushed pieces of vegetables from the pulp container.
Yet another positive is that the motor housing encompasses a 1-liter container for collecting the juice. The container has a spout at the corner, which makes it easy to pour juice into glasses. A drawback however is that the pulp gets collected within the juicing chamber and doesn’t have a separate container like Sujata Powermatic. The pulp container has a 2 Kg capacity. So, if you are juicing more than that, you will have to stop running the juicer and discard the pulp in between.
The chamber and filter are fairly easy to clean. In fact, we rate it better than Sujata in that aspect.
The grinding efficiency of the jars is moderately good. But, it takes way more time compared to Sujata Powermatic. It does a decent enough job grinding chutney, curry paste, idli batter and milkshakes. However, it isn’t really as strong as Powermatic for grinding turmeric, garam masala and such tough ingredients into a fine consistency.
A minor detail that we liked was that the control knob has indicator lights to show the speed levels.
Overall, if you are keen to have just a juicer, then by all means opt for Havells Stilus. It is also available in 2 models- the first comes with 2 jars and the second with 3 jars. Also, Havells Stilus XL is a model with a wider feeding chute into which you can feed an entire apple without cutting it into pieces.

Preethi Zodiac Juicer Mixer Grinder
Pros |
---|
A complete package that is a juicer, food processor, and a mixie. |
Juicing efficiency is good for ingredients with high water content, like cucumber and watermelon. |
Comes with a citrus juicing attachment |
Cons |
---|
Not as efficient as other centrifugal juicers. |
Produces a lot of froth while juicing. |
Changing the blade kit of the juicer jar is a pain. |
Preethi Zodiac comes with a juicer jar that has an extraction blade. It has a cylindrical sieve inside and the juice gets collected between the sieve and the outer body. It isn’t exactly a centrifugal juicer like others. But uses the same principle.
We wouldn’t say that it is the best juicer you could opt for. But, if you are looking to have a complete package that grinds, acts as a food processor, and makes juice, then Preethi Zodiac is what you need. It is equipped with a 750-watt motor.
First, let us talk about juicing efficiency. The unit works pretty well for water-rich fruits like watermelon. The leftover pulp is quite less. But when it comes to juicing apples, pomegranates and such fruits and vegetables, the pulp retains a lot of juice. While it may be better than other mixer grinders that have a juicer jar, when compared to other centrifugal juicers, it fares poorly. Also, the juice contains a lot of froth. You can notice in the below image how the pulp is very wet, indicating poor juice yield.
The 3-in-1 extraction jar is supposed to be multi-functional. You can change the blade kit of the juicer jar and use a blending blade for making smoothies and shakes. But, changing the blade is so cumbersome that we felt it is better to use the 1.5-litre wet grinding jar for making milkshakes.
Something we really liked however is that the food processor unit has a citrus juicer attachment too. You don’t find this in any other juicer mixer grinder on the list. All other options may grind the seeds too while juicing resulting in a bitter taste. So, this is definitely a huge positive for Preethi Zodiac.
Coming to the rest of the jars, Preethi Zodiac comes with 3 mains jars- a 500 ml chutney jar, 1 litre multipurpose jar and a 1.5 litre wet grinding jar. The grinding speed and consistency are far better than other 500 watt juicer mixer grinders on the list. However, it is not as fast as Sujata. In fact, if you have been using Sujata and then changing to Preethi Zodiac, you would quite likely be disappointed.
Using the mixer grinder, you can do almost all moderate to heavy-duty chores with ease. It does a fairly neat job making powders of turmeric, garam masala, pepper and grinding idli batter, medu vada batter, milkshakes and so on.
Using the food processor unit, you can slice, chop and grate vegetables too. Further, you can also knead dough in it.
Overall, it may not have the best juicer. But it has a pretty good mixer grinder and a functional food processing unit, and that makes Preethi Zodiac a complete and versatile package that is quite helpful for an Indian kitchen.

Philips Amaze Juicer Mixer Grinder
Pros |
---|
Comparatively budget-friendly pricing |
Juice yield from fruits like apples, pineapples, watermelons etc is good. |
Fairly good grinding efficiency |
Has a fairly large feeding chute. So, lesser time spent prepping the ingredients. |
Cons |
---|
Not that good for making pomegranate juice. |
The spout is not drip-proof |
Fairly noisy. |
Philips Amaze is a budget-friendly juicer mixer grinder that offers fairly decent juicing and grinding efficiency. It has a 600-watt motor and is fairly compact.
The mesh filter with a blade is comparatively smaller in size. What we loved is that it has a round feeding chute 6cm in diameter. So, you can feed comparatively large-size fruits and vegetable pieces. Also, it comes with a separate pulp container that can be removed without having to unassemble the whole thing.
The juicing efficiency is fairly good for beetroot, carrot and apple. Some uncrushed fruits and vegetables can be found among the pulp. And when you make pomegranate juice, you find a lot of juice too gets deposited in the pulp container, which isn’t desirable. Even so, when you compare with other juicer mixer grinders like Havells Vitonica and Usha 3345, Philips Amaze is a tad better than both.
The Philips Amaze comes with 3 grinding jars. They are a 400 ml chutney jar, 750 ml multipurpose jar and 1.5 litre blending jar. The smaller jars are made of stainless steel and the blending jar is made of polycarbonate. The lids of all jars are made of plastic and they are quite likely to become loose within 1-2 years of use.
The grinding efficiency of the mixer grinder is fairly good. It can make milkshakes, dosa batter, chutney, curry paste etc into a smooth consistency. When making milkshakes with bananas, you don’t find any uncrushed chunks. But, you need to run it for a comparatively longer time.
The motor housing is a bit lightweight and even though it has rubber feet, the housing moves 2-3 cm when grinding a full load of batter in the blending jar.
Overall, it is a budget-friendly option suitable for those who need a fairly good juicer and mixer grinder as both functionalities work decently well.

Havells Vitonica Juicer Mixer Grinder
Pros |
---|
Budget-friendly pricing |
Leakproof spout |
Fairly good juicing and grinding efficiency |
Cons |
---|
Plastic body |
Small feeding chute |
Havells Vitonica is yet another budget-friendly juicer mixer grinder available in the market. It is powered by a 500-watt motor and you get three jars along with it.
While all other options on the list come with a juicing chamber that has a clip lock system, Havells Vitonica has a twist and lock mechanism. The top cover is however fixed with a clip. It too has a separate pulp container.
All other juicer mixer grinders on the list have a top cover made of polycarbonate. But, in Vitonica, the top cover is made of plastic. Also, its feeding chute is the smallest among all the options we tried. So, you have to cut the fruits into small chunks.
Overall, it is quite lightweight that when you switch it on, it moves a cm due to the inertia. Something we liked however is that its spout can be closed. So, the last drops won’t fall on the countertop and create a mess.
The juicing efficiency of the unit is fairly good. We made pomegranate and apple juice and the results were satisfactory. Though there were a few uncrushed pieces in the pulp, overall, the juicing efficiency is good enough, considering the pricing.
The grinding efficiency of the jars is also pretty good. You can make milkshakes, idli/dosa batter, chutney, ginger garlic paste etc using the jar. The consistency is sometimes a bit grainy. Also, as mentioned earlier, you may have to hold the unit else it may move as the base is quite lightweight.
The unit is easy to clean. As the whole body is made of plastic, we are not sure about the durability of the unit.
Overall, it is a good budget-friendly pick for those who need a decent juicer mixer grinder.
Usha 3345 Juicer Mixer Grinder
Pros |
---|
Budget-friendly pricing |
Fairly good juicing efficiency |
Fairly easy to clean |
Cons |
---|
Wet and dry grinding in regular jars is poor. |
Juice splashes in spite of having a spout guard |
Average built quality and durability. |
Usha 3345 is the cheapest among the options we tested. When you look at its design, you understand that Bajaj 410168 and Bajaj JX5 too have the same design and they are both priced competitively.
The unit comes with a polycarbonate body medium-sized extraction blade and a mesh filter. The pulp is collected within the juicing chamber and it has a spout guard too. But even so, the juice tends to splash a lot from the spout.
The juicing performance of Usha 3345 is pretty good for its price. It can make juice of a variety of fruits and vegetables with ease. But the juice has a lot of froth.
The design is fairly neat and cleaning it up is easy. However, compared to other options, it is pretty loud.
As a budget-friendly juicer, it is definitely a great option to choose. But, you may be disappointed if you are looking to grind ingredients in the jars that come along. The grinding efficiency is quite poor. When making milkshakes, you get chunks of fruits in them that are not blended. Even while making chutney, you have to grind for a really long time to crush all ingredients to desired consistency.
Considering the low price, the unit isn’t likely to be as durable as the other options. Overall, it is a budget-friendly option suitable for those who want to make juice often and grind ingredients rarely.

Philips Viva Collection HR1863/20 2-Litre Juicer
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
Large feeding chute | Expensive for a centrifugal juicer. |
Thoughtful design | Small pulp container. |
Though slightly expensive, Philips HR1863/20 is one of the excellent options for making juices from fresh fruits and vegetables. When it comes to the juice yield, it is as good as Sujata Powermatic and Havells Stilus.
The unit comes with a 700-watt motor. Compared to other options, it has a wide feeding chute that is around 7.5cm wide. So, you needn’t spend a lot of time prepping the fruits and cutting them into small pieces. All you have to do is just remove the seeds to ensure it doesn’t get crushed when juicing. Philips Amaze which we have talked about earlier too comes with a comparatively larger feeding chute.
One of the key differences you find between Philips HR1863/20 and other options is in the extraction blade mesh. It is inverted in design, which Philips claims results in better juice yield. However, we find it at par with the other options we have ranked the best.
Along with the juicer, you get a 500 ml container that can be used to collect the juice. It also has a spout that can be turned upside down to prevent the last drops from falling and messing up your countertop.
The noise level is at par with the other centrifugal juicers, making around 85-90 dB. But, price-wise, it comes close to a cold press juicer, which is a drawback. Also, note that unlike other options we talked about so far, Philips HR1863 is a juicer and doesn’t come with jars for grinding.
FAQs
Sujata Powermatic Juicer Mixer Grinder and Havells Stilus Juicer Mixer Grinder are some of the best juicer mixer grinders in India. Sujata Powermatic comes with a 900-watt motor which makes it an excellent option not just for juicing, but also for grinding a variety of ingredients. If juicing is your priority, Havells Stilus offers highly commendable performance. But, as it has just a 500-watt motor, the grinding performance falls short.
Philips Amaze Juicer Mixer Grinder is one of the best budget-friendly juicer mixer grinders in India. It has a wide feeding chute making it easier to feed in ingredients for juicing. Its juicing and grinding performance is adequate for the money you spend.
Havells Stilus Juicer Mixer Grinder is the best juicer for pomegranates. As the gap between the top of the juicing cover and the mesh filter is low, the pomegranate seeds that bounce off the extraction blade fall back on the filter itself. The wide extraction blade too helps. In many other options, you find juice along with the pulp or worse, uncrushed pomegranate seeds in the pulp.
Havells Stilus Juicer Mixer Grinder is the best juicer mixer grinder for beetroot and carrots. You won’t find much uncrushed pieces in the leftover pulp. Moreover, the juice is fine in texture too.
You get two types of centrifugal juicers with food processors. The ones that come with a proper extraction blade with a mesh filter work properly. But, some of the options do not have a conventional mesh filter. Neither does the extraction blade rotate with sufficient RPM. As a result, ingredients don’t get crushed properly resulting in extremely poor juice yield.
Juicers and blenders serve different purposes. If you are looking for an appliance to extract juice from fruits and vegetables, then opt for a centrifugal or cold press juicer. Note that these appliances remove a lot of fibre content from the juice. If you don’t want to lose the fibre and would rather like to blend different fruits and vegetables to a liquid form to make smoothies and shakes, opt for a personal or full-sized blender.
The important aspects to look at when buying a juicer mixer grinder are its power, design, size of the extraction blade, number of jars, capacity of the pulp holder, ease of cleaning, grinding performance and juice yield.
Conclusion
To conclude, our top recommendation for those who are looking for a powerful juicer with an equally good mixer grinder is Sujata Powermatic. If juicing is your priority, Havells Stilus is an excellent choice for a home.
Outstanding article with very good product selection. love to read it very much.
